Everyone has that friend who is a little odd when it concerns their dog. They treat their lovable little mutt like itâs human, and no one can tell them heâs not. These are also the type of people who are the hardest to buy gifts for. If you can afford to buy an entire wardrobe for your dog, you can afford to buy almost anything you want, and probably already have. So the best thing to buy for these oddball people (yes, I can say that. Iâve been one in the past), are gifts for or concerning their canine friends. I guarantee they do not have everything thatâs out there.
There are literally hundreds of gifts available for the canine addicted; Aprons, dishes, cookie cutters and even refrigerator magnets for those slightly confused owners who spend more time cooking for Fido than their own families; checkbook covers, clutches, wallets and planners for those owners who canât leave home without a memory of Fido tagging along; brain teaser games, jigsaw puzzles and other games for the owner who even wants to include manâs best friend in his hobbies; and towels, t-shirts and hats for those owners who want their dogâs with them when the actual dog canât. As you can see, there are a myriad of choices to rummage through when buying a gift for the dog lover in your life.
There are even breed specific items you can buy for the dog lover in your life. Calendars, coffee mugs, posters, picture frames, etc⦠are just a few of the items that are available not only for the dog lover, but the dog lover who only thinks thereâs one breed in the world. A photo album dedicated to my German Shepard was one of the best gifts I ever received.
If youâre not a big fan of brick-a-brack, even when youâre buying it for someone else, gift certificates are always a good choice. You can buy gift certificates at most pet shops. The dog owner in your life always needs something at the pet store. Or you can buy an overnight stay in a dog hotel (thatâs a fancy name for an expensive kennel). Every dog owner, no matter how much he/she loves his little buddy, needs a night away. Most kennels offer supervised play time, specially prepared meals and even grooming. You might want to think about it, especially during puppyhood when every dog owner at one time another wonders what theyâve gotten themselves into.
You may even consider buying a photo sitting for your dog loving bud. Most pet stores periodically have a professional come in once or twice a year to take pictures of peopleâs pets. The owner can even sit in on the picture to give it that family feel. But remember, you might just get that picture back in a Christmas card.
So, as you can see, there are numerous gifts out there to get for the dog owner who has everything. And no matter what you give them, they are bound to love it. After all, you remembered their âlittle baby.â
